Quiz

Dosha quiz

A dosha (a quality of movement, heat, or steadiness) is a place to start, not a box you have to stay in. The quiz is free, and you can begin as a guest, with no account.

Who it is for

It is for an adult who is curious about Ayurveda (the traditional Indian science of life), or who wants a plainer picture of how their days tend to go. You do not need to know the words already.

What each quiz covers

There are three short quizzes, and you can take them in order.

  • Prakriti (your natural constitution, the mix you were born with) asks about patterns you have had since childhood: appetite, skin, sleep, and how your mind moves.
  • Vikriti (how your balance looks right now) asks about this month, not the person you have always been.
  • Ama (the heavy, unfinished-meal feeling) asks whether meals are landing, or sitting with you afterward.

What happens next

You get a simple picture of your mix. From there you can keep a daily check-in. If you want the longer read, the Blueprint is a personalised booklet. The quizzes stay free.

Three questions from the quiz

These are from the Prakriti quiz, so you can see the tone before you start.

  1. My appetite is usually...

    • Irregular. I can forget to eat, then suddenly feel very hungry.
    • Strong and predictable. Delayed meals make me uncomfortable.
    • Steady but mild. I can miss a meal without much trouble.
  2. My skin is usually...

    • Dry, thin, rough, or cool.
    • Warm, sensitive, freckled, or easily irritated.
    • Soft, smooth, thicker, or a little oily.
  3. My sleep is usually...

    • Light, easily disturbed, or shorter than average.
    • Moderate in length and generally sound.
    • Deep, long, and hard to wake up from.

Common questions

How do I tell which dosha I am?

The quiz asks about appetite, skin, sleep, and how your mind moves. Your answers point toward Vata (air and space), Pitta (fire and water), Kapha (earth and water), or a mix of them. Most people are a mix.

Can I take the dosha quiz for free?

Yes. You can start as a guest. An account is not required to begin the Prakriti, Vikriti, and Ama quizzes.

What is the difference between the three quizzes?

Prakriti looks at the mix you have had for a long time. Vikriti looks at how things feel right now. Ama looks at whether meals leave a heavy, unfinished feeling.

Do I need to know Ayurveda before I start?

No. Ayurveda is a traditional Indian way of talking about daily life, food, and rhythm. Each Sanskrit word on these pages is followed by a plain-language meaning the first time it appears.

What do I get at the end?

A picture of your mix, and the option to keep a daily check-in. The Blueprint booklet is there if you want a longer, personalised read. You can stop after the free quiz.
